SIGNING LIGHTING & GUARDING AT ROADWORKS
FETAC Level 5 special purpose award in signing lighting and guarding at roadworks (CSCS)
{For the purposes of this course the temporary traffic operations supervisor is the CSCS Card Holder}

 

COURSE OUTLINE
To train and assess participants on signing, lighting and guarding at roadworks
as specified in, chapter 8 of the traffic signs manual, and guidance for the control
and management of traffic at roadworks, in accordance with the relevant legislation.


LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course learners will be able to:
- List the relevant legislation
- Describe signs and devices used on roadworks
- Describe static and semi-static operations
- List the requirements for the installation of traffic management
- Read and describe the traffic layouts set out in “Chapter 8” & “Guidance for
   the control and management of traffic at roadworks”
- Install, maintain and remove signs & devices used on roadworks
- Create and maintain site records
