Programme graduates will have achieved the academic qualification necessary to apply for inclusion on the FẤS/EI National Register of Trainers. In addition, be in a position to apply to deliver CSCS programmes and their own subject matter expert programmes, provided they meet all other registration criteria.
Aim: The aim of this programme is to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to design, deliver, assess and evaluate training programmes specific to their subject matter expertise.
Content:
- Unit 1 Theory of Training and Adult Learning,
- Unit 2 The Role of the Trainer,
- Unit 3 Training Needs Analysis & Programme Design,
- Unit 4 Preparing for Training Delivery,
- Unit 5 Delivery and Assessment,
- Unit 6 Evaluation of Training.
In addition to the above there will be a session on completing the FAS/EI Application Form to register as an approved trainer/training organisation
Entry: Level 5 Certificate, Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualifications and/relevant life or work experience. In addition you must have basic numeracy and literacy skills along with being able to word process or have access to same.
Assessment: Assignment, 2,500 and a skills demonstration in the form of practical presentation. In addition a portfolio based on the learning from the programme modules must be complete.
