Safe Pass Course Structure
A one day Safety Awareness Training program aimed at all construction site personnel, including new entrants, Local Authority personnel and apprentices to ensure that they have a basic knowledge of health and safety
Objectives of the Course
-Raise the standards of safety awareness in the construction industry.
-Ensure that all site personnel undergo basic health and safety training with the view to making a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents and avoidance of health hazards.
-Maintain a register of personnel who have received such training.
-To provide all participants with FAS safe pass registration card which will indicate that the holder has attended a formal course in health and safety awareness
Who Should Attend?
All construction site personnel, including new entrants, Local Authority personnel and apprentices.

Course Content
Module 1: The Reasons for Promoting Safety.
Module 2: Health and Safety At Work Legislation.
Module 3: Accident Reporting & Emergency Procedure.
Module 4: Accident Prevention.
Module 5: Health and Hygiene, Manual Handling.
Module 6: Manual Handling.
Module 7: Working at Heights.
Module 8: Working with Electricity.
Module 9: Underground and Overhead Services.
Module 10: Use of hand-held equipment, tools.
Module 11: Personal Protective Equipment.
Module 12: Safe Use of Vehicles.
Module 13: Noise and Vibration.
Certification
Candidates will receive a letter of completion on successful completion of the examination and in due course once approved by FAS they will receive their Safe Pass card.
Course Fees
Based on group size. This course may be grant aided by FAS as Seamus Hanley is CTIS approved
